Why doesn't wedding banquet serve coffee?

I went to a wedding lunch this afternoon at Marina Mandarin Vanda Ballroom. I like the small ballroom right away. I remember I attended a wedding dinner at this ballroom before and remember the food is quite good. Rarely I find many pretty girls in a wedding dinner and apparently bride comes from Arts faculty and those girls are her school mates. Bride is very pretty too with very slim figure and I can tell groom is in love with bride. As usual, the lunch starts with some retro music and the hotel crew carried the first dish in and did a mini dance as well. I wonder is it a norm, but in this wedding, their relative also went up with a guitar to sing few songs for them. The guy was good but the mic was really bad. That discounts my impression of hotel immediately. Out of the 8 dishes, I like the jelly fish, fish maw soup (to replace shark fin's soup) and the fried chicken most. Towards the end of the lunch, I couldn't finish the last few dishes already. In fact, I am intending to skip dinner because I am too full. By the way, my companion ask me an interesting question about wedding. Why doesn't wedding dinner or lunch serve coffee? I shall use this as the title for this blog.
