High expectations of Nando's

I saw the recommendation of this restaurant called Nando from Facebook friend's updates and decided to give a try. I googled the restaurant and found out they are from South Africa with Portuguese theme and specialises in chicken with peri peri sauce.

As we are early, there is no queue and was immediately ushered to the seat. I chose to sit outside because the restaurant seems smoky inside. First disappointment came when waitor says they don't serve plain water. I ordered a half chicken with 2 sidelines (colslaw and fries as you can see in the picture) to share between 2 person and that already costs $21+ which I think it is a little expensive. As I am not feeling that well, I only order mild spicy.

The chicken is tender and has a bit of sour and spicy taste. I thought it was okay only. It kinda of reminds me of a better version of Kenny Rogers but at higher price. I was expecting more from that price so I was kinda of disappointed after trying the chicken. When I leave I saw others putting some sauces and though maybe that might make the difference.

Bliss Level: Low to Medium.
