Whenever I go to Xing Wang Cafe, somehow or rather I want to order the maggie mee ($6+) to eat. To be honest, it is expensive and would be much cheaper to cook maggie mee at home but I am sucker for it. Hong Kong cafe normally use this brand of maggie called 出前一丁. Such maggie mee is commonly called 公仔麵 in Hong Kong. Interestingly, I just found out online that this japan made noodles is imported to Hong Kong and become a hit and now a common dish in Hong Kong Read the background here. The other food I love is luncheon meat. Since young, mum loves to cook this and having luncheon meat back then is like eating MacDonalds burger. It's those tasty food you look forward. The best combination for maggie mee is egg and luncheon meat. Xing Wang Cafe sells a variety of drinks and I find the iced blend peach tea quite nice. By the way, I always brag to my friends that I am a superb maggie mee chef. Seriously, the mee like pasta taste good provided you cook it to right texture - not too soft nor too hard. *wink*
