A friend called me while I was jogging to tell me that she is trying out my recommendations (Hokkien Mee) after reading my blog. I felt charged up after the call and jog much faster! I am happy when people like what I share. This blog is meant to be a diary than a food critic blog.
Today mum cooks Yong Dao Foo and soya sauce chicken. If you notice, she doesn't really care about presentation of food as everything is served in pots. Hiaks! But ... her food is great stuff ok! I scoop my share into a bowl and start munching the Yong Dao Foo. It was so good that all Yong Dao Foo was finished (including the soup). At first I thought she bought the ingredients from market but she said that she made all Yong Dao Foo herself. Wow! The soup was brewed using Ikan Bilis. When soup cooked with the Yong Dao Foo, the taste is superb. I was telling her this is better than a lot of the Yong Dao Foo stalls out there and maybe we should set up a stall.
Forget to add that the soya sauce chicken was good too but I was too full to finish it. Mum always overcooks.
Bliss Level: HIGH!
