I was frowning at the idea to eat dinner at Novena food court when it was suggested by my dinner buddy. My impression of that food court is there is nothing nice to eat. While I was sulking looking for food, I discover this stall with the TV show certificate, Indonesia food and that cheered me up. I ordered their speciality dish Ayam Penyat (Smashed Chicken) which costs $5.80. By the way, there is another very nice Indonesian restaurant in Lucky Plaza that is recommended by my Indonesian friend. I will blog about it in future and find a chance to eat there again.
The dish comes with chicken drumstick, tofu and tapoica? (I have no idea what the other piece is). The chicken is crispy and meat is soft but it has a cakey bite or flour feeling. Down side is the chicken is not served hot which means it is pre-fried. The chilli accompanies it was good and not too spicy. I like the soup provided. The soup is sour with vegetables and peanuts which increases appetite. In general, I am quite happy with my dinner.
