Homemade egg mayo sandwich

Recently I am addicted eating sandwiches for breakfast. Long long time ago ( decades ago) I did try to make egg mayo sandwiches. So I surf the Internet for egg mayo sandwich recipes and found a simple one on www.noobcook.com . This afternoon I started to make my sandwiches. I tend to make in quantities so I used 7 eggs (2.5 egg yolks for health reasons, thanks to noob cook advice) and 14 slices of breads.

I realise i probably need to put more mayo so that the egg won't fall out. The problem is I use a normal knife and hence makes it hard to cut off the sides of the bread. Actually I find it quite a waste to throw away the sides. Hence do let me know what else I cam do with the sides.

I let my family tried and all said good.

As you can see from the tomatoes, I am a lousy cutter. I tried to cut slices but find it hard to cut the small leftovers so I just left it as chunks. :P

Japanese homecooked food @ I Fresh Co

I didn't know that there are many small food outlets at Raffles Place in the basement area. It took quite a hard time to decide what to eat for dinner. At Raffles Place, you will notice many outlets selling sandwiches and salads that cater to the office crowd.

I notice this little outlet at the corner because it has more customers and on closer look, the food look interesting. It is very different from the typical Japanese restaurant. It's a home cook food stall. It explains why I see a few Japanese at this place. Out of curiosity, I decide to check this place out and was served by a Japanese lady. I ordered Buta Shabu udon ($7) which I presume it to be pork udon dry. When I tried it I love it immediately especially the companion sauce that has a peanut and mustard taste. The udon isn't the thick type you ate restaurant. What makes it nice it is oiless and is very healthy. I also tried Burdock Apple salad ($2.80) and found out what is Burdock. It is a kind of root that is commonly used in Japanese and Korean cuisine.

I strongly recommend you to try out this place.

Toucan Irish Pub 10 dollar set meal

Colleagues all agreed to try out Toucan Irish Pub's ten dollar nett set lunch after bonus day as a nice treat to ourselves. Indeed it is no gimmicks that it is ten dollars nett and it comes with a drink, soup and main course.

There is also pool table that you can play for free. As the light is very dim, we experimented using my iPhone 3g phone and nokia n70 flash light to take the food photo. Photo turn out much nicer with flash light. 4g iPhone should come out fast.

As for the fish and chip, it tastes the same as any other fish and chip except this is greasier.
